Built around Curt Kiser's sincere and dreamy songwriting, Carriers are a new indie rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio. Their debut singles "Daily Battle" and "Peace of Mine" were released on May 11 digitally and on cassette via Old Flame Records. Kiser (ex-Pomegranates, Enlou) was joined in the studio by Bryan Devendorf of The National and John Curley of Afghan Whigs.
Their forthcoming debut album is carefully layered, leaning on strong core songwriting, hypnotic synths, lush guitar tones from Curt Kiser (ex-Pomegranates, Enlou), mesmerizing percussion delivered by Bryan Devendorf (The National), and nuanced, dynamic bass lines from John Curley (Afghan Whigs) Even though they are only getting started they have already been making some noise regionally having shared the stage with Damien Jurado, Big Thief, Sam Evian, The Dove & The Wolf, Harpooner and more. They just wrapped up an April tour with dates alongside Kyle Craft (Sub Pop) & a hometown show with Anna Burch (Polyvinyl).
